The key safe manages user IDs and passwords. When a page is a logon web page, that is it contains a user ID and password field press the key safe button, , to either create a new user id and password or to logon to the site using a previously saved key pair for that web page.
Key pairs can be generated by the program or you can type your own user id and password. Be sure to save a new key pair before logging on. All user ids and passwords are encrypted when saved. The displayed user ids and passwords are the unencrypted values.
The key safe may be opened at any time by selecting "Open..." from the drop down arrow on the key safe button or selecting the password vault menu item (Navigation > Key Safe > Open...)
When you set a master password (Navigation > Key Safe > Set Master Password...) you can lock the key safe to prevent unauthorized access or use. The key safe can not be used to sign onto web sites when it is locked. To unlock the key safe the master password is required and you need to remember this password or keep it written down in a safe place
