Email Automation

 

The automated features are contained primarily in the mailer properties (File > Properties). They are the addressing, signature, and attachment-naming properties. These options are automatically applied whenever the mailer activates by menu selection or from the browser.

The values in address pre-fill, from, cc, and subject are inserted into the outgoing mail. Neither the from nor the cc fields are not displayed on the mailer itself, although they are inserted into the email, when it is sent.

The signature text is appended to every email when it is initially composed. If you do not wish to have a signature, leave this field blank.

The attachment-naming option is a name given to the attachment when it is delivered. This is the name the recipient (to) sees when the list of attachments is viewed. It is optional.

When the mailer activates for a new email, the following actions occur. All address pre-fill fields are filled in. The only field you would see in the mail is the subject field.

If you assigned a current cover letter, it is inserted into the body of the email (Letters > Catalog >.Set as Current Cover Letter). Non-text cover letters are attached and not inserted.

If you assigned a current resume, it is inserted into the body of the email (Resume > Catalog > Set as Current Resume). Non-text resumes are attached and not inserted, and named to the attachment name property.
