Resume Editor

The resume editor makes experimenting with different styles easy. The edit view shows the data part of a resume, one created with the resume wizard. Changes are applied to all data of the same kind. For instance, if you make the employer name italic (right click employer name > Format > Italic), all employer names in the resume are made italic at once.

Selected data may be hidden, have its position changed, grouped with any related data into a single item. Template items for blank lines may be inserted. When a template item has a format applied, the resume is regenerated and you can see the effect of the change. Immediate regeneration may be toggle off/on (File > Auto Generate: check/uncheck). Template changes may be reversed (Edit > Undo). No changes are permanent until the document is saved.

The document can also be directly edited by hand. If template changes are applied and the document regenerated after hand editing a resume, the hand changes are lost. The best way to create a resume is to get its look close to what you want with template edits, then hand edit the document with smaller adjustments.

A third way in which the resume may be edited is using the resume form wizard (Catalog > Edit...). Editing changes made using the form wizard are permanent. When a resume is regenerated, the data for the generation process is pulled from the form wizard.

After changing a resume's style using the editor, the style may be saved as a new template without saving the resume itself (File > Save Template).
